around the flag uh that that there was at some stage during the war? how you would sum up the mood? don't don't forget that at the time of iran was pretty divided and lot of ordinary people wanted some kind of action to to get rid of in or at least weaken the regime and the idea from the us and israel was that we will go in weaken the security forces and and encourage people to rise up and take power, that didn't happen on the on the regime side, of course they have their own supporters, they rallied round the flag and the iranians played on the patriotic war as opposed to islamic war, and and people and the nationalists in iran also rallied around, and the regime is today, 100 days later, pretty much stronger in place, more hard line.

revolutionary guards in power, that help didn't come for the of iranian ordinary iranian people, the nuclear material still there, the the weakening or getting rid of iran's ballistic missile capability didn't happen, at least lot of ballistic missiles are still there, so none of these have been achieved, basically with that in mind, kazara, is there? sense of triumphalism uh in iran from the certainly from the regime that they are kind of they've survived, they've withstood the world of superpower absolutely the hard lines, they feel that they have won the war, they have the upper hand, they have the initiative and they should not give in to to talks as such, and this voices are of louder and loud louder these days in iran uh with the hard liners sort of dictating the terms of of negotiations and take iran taking harder line at the...

operations abroad, no more wars, and yet getting embroiled in yet another quogm in the middle east, yes, and not a single one the aims, that president trump set out uh in the early stages of the attack has has been achieved of course, i mean kazar was going through them, um, nothing that the united states really wanted has happened, of course uh, i mean they took out 48 uh people from the the topmost levels the the regime, but as we know and as we know from so many other places, simply decapitating a... regime doesn't mean to say that there won't be an awful lot of younger people uh coming up into the positions and in this case muj the the second son the previous supreme leader is now supreme leader himself so somebody even with the same name is in charge

the country um yes it is important for iran to be able to show that it it's taken 100 days and counting uh to cope with with what it did and that it's been able to accept everything that israel and the united states has thrown at it, nevertheless, i mean there must be in the in the leadership's mind, there must be nervousness about what happens if the war uh ends with some sort of agreement fairly fairly soon, that's what i suspect that that the iranian leadership doesn't... particularly want, because yes, the wartime, if you can call it that, coalition of people has tended to support the regime, but when it finishes, well, all the just about all the old conditions, plus few more, i mean a

really bad economy will will will come back, as for president trump, well, it is quite hard for his supporters to point to anything really that's been achieved, which per... you could say is a little bit unfair, because if the united states hadn't got involved, it i imagine that most the things that have happened, particularly the uh straight of homus being blocked would have happened anyway if it simply been israel fighting iran. i mean, we've seen from president trump the swinging wildly between threats and talks about peace deals, i mean a quick remind. of of that post he put on truth social where he he threatened uh the entire uh uh death of a civilization uh if deal was not - agreeduh in in in hours i mean it was an extraordinary threat he's threatened to exterminate obliterate all sorts of things and then he now talks about how he's willing to meetuh mujtaba

khamane so he's gone from kind of threatening to kill a civilization to um well let's have lunch yes and of course that is a pretty weak position to seemingly weak any rate to to be in, if you can simply say uh, well, i, i'll will just discount everything, all the worst threats that president trump makes, then you know, you you you're not left with an awful lot in between, are you, in between that, we will exterminate you as as a civilization, and as you say, let's have lunch, i mean it, it, it really is a poor position to be in, and... everyone, i mean, not just simply uh, people in the middle east, not just simply - enemies the united states in general, but everybody will say, well, the worst things that donald trump says, he doesn't make good on, so we just assume that

hello there, real mixture of weather once again across north america. there is some warmth around actually, particularly across some eastern areas underneath that area of high pressure in the sunshine. we do have this heavy thundery rain, the risk of one or two tornadoes as well again affecting the mid-west. all the way down into georgia, following on from that, some sunshine, the odd shower, some warmth as well, actually until you get towards the pacific northwest, it's a bit cooler and wetter, really wet weather though along these coastal areas of the southwestern mexico and into central america, there could be one or two tropical storms developing and lot more showers actually coming in to the caribbean as well, very wet across these equatorial regions, but we've got more rain more widely actually into peru on monday, perhaps into bolivia tide in with this rain that's... and pushing its way into uruguay and the far south of brazil across europe we've still got some heavy potentially thundery

rain across the northeast of europe and then some sunshine, but the next band of rain coming in from the atlantic is arriving in the northwest of europe and that's going to bring in cooler air that will move its way eastwards over the next few days. further south, there's the odd thundery shower around, but on the whole it's warm, it's dry and it's sunny and there's a lot of heat to come across northern parts of africa where it's generally dry here as well, seasonal rain. here focused more around the gulf of guiny into west africa, it's not as wet through these sahel regions as well, south of that there's a little rain to run along the garden route, otherwise it's getting warmer and drier once again across south africa. the strong winds have eased down through the gulf and across the middle east, it is looking dry, hot and sunny, temperatures may rise a little higher over the next few days and temperatures are going to be rising across pakistan across the northwest of india with the showers having largely died out, southwest monsoon is continuing to run nort. was here across southern parts of india bringing flooding rains onto the west coast and the western gats as well, lot of rain to come into myanmar too. also got some
